"Off" Network for Fringe

Network of Theaters and Operators for the Fringe performance circuit

It is well known that one of the main problems for self-produced shows is a lack of connection between artists and artistic directors, a problem that becomes even more complicated for all the artists and operators who live and work in the non-urban areas, and who are far from the centers of national production.

And yet majority of the most original and innovative creations are developed outside of these urban centers ... within the FRINGE community.

MILAN OFF FRINGE FESTIVAL and CATANIA OFF FRINGE FESTIVAL have therefore decided to create a FRINGE NETWORK, a web that unites FRINGE members⁠— theater and industry professionals who belong to organizations recognized throughout Italy and abroad⁠—with non-commercial, "Fringe" artists.

Joining the FRINGE "OFF" NETWORK is quite simple: just fill in and send the online THEATRE OPERATOR, found at this link: https://milanooff.com/it/accrediti-professionali. Your request will be reviewed by the MILANO OFF Organizational team, and if confirmed we will send you a welcome email. The details of your facility and your name will be published webpage dedicated to the FRINGE "OFF" NETWORK, and you will be issued a "PASS OPERATOR" accredited pass,  valid for 1 free admission to all of the shows scheduled within Milan Off Fringe Festival and Catania Off Fringe Festival.

Members of the FRINGE "OFF" NETWORK can access all details, trailers and complete videos of the artist(s) and companies applying to Call For Artists of both Milano Off Fringe Festival and Catania Off Fringe Festival, through a personal online access to the dedicated sections on each respective website. Members will therefore have at their disposal a vast database of artists and productions in the fringe network to discover, contact and include in their regular programming: seasons, festivals, reviews, circuits, residences, etc.

A direct relationship is established between FRINGE "OFF" NETWORK members and the artist(s)/companies, who are then able to negotiate their own organizational and financial conditions.

MI OFF, CT OFF and the  FRINGE "OFF" NETWORK members will exchange logos, to be put on each website as a sign of friendly partnership and participation. 

ARTISTIC PARTNERS

Become a PARTNER with your venue and enter the heart of Fringe Festivals as a PROFESSIONAL OPERATOR for an exciting and unforgettable experience.

The associates of the FRINGE "OFF" NETWORK can also become ARTISTIC PARTNERS of Milano Off Fringe Festival and / or Catania Off Fringe Festival.

Simply send an email request to direzione@milanooff.com and you will be contacted immediately in order to to define the participation terms, according to these general agreement guidelines for all Artistic Partners:

• A production from MI OFF 22 and/or CT OFF 22 will be awarded participation in the following season, festival, circuit, or residence period for the 2022/2023 programming period of the Artistic Partner.
• The Artists Application and/or the MI OFF and the CT OFF websites will state that the economic conditions of the award are to be agreed upon directly with the Artistic Partner.
• An artistic representative from the Artistic Partner will participate in the specialized jury of MI OFF 22 and/or CT OFF 22, in order to thoroughly evaluate the productions to select for their award.
• The name of the Artistic Partner will be published on the MI OFF and CT OFF websites, even if a delegate is sent to view shows in their place.
• MI OFF 22- CT OFF 22 and the Artistic Partner will insert each other's logos on their websites, in order to symbolize a partnership and participation in the FRINGE "OFF" NETWORK. 
• The Artistic Partner will share some MI OFF and/or CT OFF posts on their social media in order to  disseminate information regarding the Festival via their own communication channels; booklets or flyers of the Festival in general will be delivered to the Artistic Partner. 
• A delegate from the Artistic Partner will be available to attend (in-person and/or online) various speed dates: 3-minute meetings with participating productions, giving them the a brief opportunity to ask questions, sollicit advice and present their artistic projects.
• A delegate from the Artistic Partner will be available (in-person and/or online) to attend conferences, discussion panels, workshops and other professional initiatives organized by MI OFF and/or CT OFF.
